This annual symposium celebrates teaching focused on pursuing student learning and success through reflective, evidence-based teaching practices. It provides instructors with a forum where they can share their promising teaching practices and disseminate results of scholarly teaching interventions, such as the work of the Curriculum Enhancement Grant scholars.
This year’s theme is Strengthening Student-Instructor Connections. The ongoing pandemic, return to in-person interactions in and outside the classroom, and the heightened focus on an inclusive and equitable learning climate continues to reshape student and instructor experiences and relationships. This year's symposium will feature a keynote activity and concurrent sessions that will explore various aspects of the theme in the context of student learning and success.
The 2022 Scholarly Teaching Symposium is co-sponsored by the IU Indianapolis Center for Teaching and Learning, the IU Indianapolis Institute for Engaged Learning, LEAP Indiana, and the IU Indianapolis Bepko Learning Center.
The 2022 symposium was held on Friday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the University Library Lilly Auditorium (UL 0130)
