IU Indianapolis TA Orientation

The IU Indianapolis TA Orientation, co-sponsored by the CTL and the Graduate School, provides new graduate student teaching assistants with basic strategies and tools to successfully start and manage their teaching responsibilities inside and outside the classroom. 

Emerging Scholars of College Instruction Program

The Emerging Scholars of College Instruction program, spanning three semesters, is for IU Indianapolis graduate students aspiring for future faculty positions to work together to develop and document college teaching skills that are critical for a successful academic career. 

Workshops and Webinars

The CTL offers workshops and webinars for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty concerning various teaching and learning topics including course design, assessment, instructional strategies, and classroom management. Customized workshops and webinars are available on request.

Beyond IU: CIRTL Programs

Center for Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) is an international network of 40+ institutions that offers a variety of professional development programs and opportunities to support graduate students and postdocs preparing for future faculty positions.
