Expectations of Awardees
- Awardees will work with a consultant from the CTL who will provide instructional design and/or technology support and monitor the progress of the project through periodic meetings and needs-assessment surveys.
- Awardees will participate in programming offered by the CTL related to CEG projects, which will include the following:
- CEG Welcome Reception and Orientation – April 17, 2025
- Present at the Plater-Moore Conference on Teaching and Learning
- Workshops or other programming relevant to the CEG Initiative
- Student Success Track: CEG Scholars funded through this track will participate in a faculty learning community to receive continued support on implementing and assessing their project. To fully engage with the learning community, CEG scholars will:
- Attend a 60-minute monthly meeting from July 2024 – April 2025 that will feature discussions on topics related to finding and interpreting DFW data, understanding student success variables, assessing student learning outcomes, etc.
- Spend 30 – 60 minutes preparing for monthly discussions.
- Overall, the time commitment will be 10 – 20 hours for the CEG period.
- Awardees may seek library support for the following purposes:
- Assistance and support from the subject librarian in your discipline
- Consultation with the Educational Development Librarian for higher education research resources and literature review
- CEG projects involving human subjects require appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) review and approval. Awardees must ensure that this criteria is met before undertaking any project activities. Information about how to determine if a project requires IRB review and whether applicable laws that govern research will apply to the project is available at the IU Office of Research Administration website.
- Awardees will submit a CEG Progress Report no later than Friday, December 9, 2025.
- Awardees will submit the CEG Final Report and an accompanying recorded presentation no later than Sunday, June 8, 2026. Please note that the final report and recorded presentation will be shared with the school dean/program chair who endorsed the CEG project as an update and appreciation of the investigators’ efforts and project outcomes.
- Awardees must acknowledge receipt of CEG support in any presentation or publication of work funded by a CEG grant.
