Associate faculty (sometimes called adjunct faculty, part-time faculty, or part-time lecturers) are an important part of the IU Indianapolis teaching community. At the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), we are committed to supporting the teaching, growth, and professional development of associate faculty through the same programs, resources, and services available to all faculty. Whether you teach online, in a hybrid format, face-to-face, or in a clinical setting, we are here to support your work as an instructor.

Resources, Workshops, and Individual Consultations
The Center for Teaching and Learning supports associate faculty with Resources (tip sheets and topical resources available online, and with equipment loans), Workshops, and with Individual Consultations—both in-person (at our office in University Library) and remote (via video conference or telephone). Our center supports the efforts of associate faculty who seek to learn about, create, and implement appropriate and effective teaching strategies, whether through instructional design (teaching strategies and techniques) or through the use of technologies (e.g., Canvas, TopHat, etc.). Resources, workshops, and individual consultations may be about (but are not limited to) topics such as:
