Project Title: A Flipped Classroom Approach to ECE 204, Introductory Electrical and Electronics Circuits Course
Funding Level: $5,000
Abstract:
The proposal is to offer part of ECE 204 lectures and some of the lab experiments in a “flipped environment” format. ECE 204 is a required electrical and computer engineering course mainly for mechanical engineering students. The goal is to drill the basics. Due to the relatively large class size, students are asked to volunteer as group leaders and groups are formed. The main purpose of each group leader is to keep students on track during the class so everyone is fully challenged and engaged. Low cost PC based lab equipment such as Digilent Analog Discovery have become increasingly popular and are proposed for the flipped lab set-up.
