Unizin member institutions, including Indiana University, are conducting a needs assessment study in order to identify the perceptions, needs, and desires of faculty for teaching, research, and collaboration in a Unizin consortium. We are asking your participation as the results will inform the Unizin Board, Teaching & Learning Advisory Group, and the Unizin staff on faculty perceptions, needs, and desires to guide the development of tools and services for teaching and learning for the future. More information about Unizin is available below.
This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey will close at 5 p.m. (PDT) on Monday, April 10, 2017. Participation in this survey is completely anonymous and voluntary. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Serdar Abaci, Educational Research and Evaluation Specialist, at sabaci@iu.edu.
Note: This survey is best viewed on a computer (desktop or laptop) screen. Tablets or smartphones may not show some items properly.
Thank you for your time and participation.
What is Unizin?
Unizin is a consortium of higher education institutions of which Indiana University is part of. Unizin’s mission is to improve the teaching and learning experience through technology. We aim to advance the academic outcomes of institutions through increased access, affordability, interoperability, and the application of state of the art digital teaching and learning resources. The Unizin collaboration is empowering institutions to enhance and evolve their learning environments and generate greater support for achieving their university’s mission.
What can Unizin do for faculty?
- Unizin can provide analytics and reports to better adjust content to meet the needs of all learners.
- Unizin is an innovative approach to content discovery. Faculty contribution to Unizin’s content library enables ownership over their own resources and the ability to see data around the usage of those resources. Unizin protects intellectual property by putting faculty in control of how their content is shared and gives universities complete control of our learning laboratory.
- Faculty choice is one of our top priorities. Digital teaching and learning can be overwhelming, but Unizin is responsive to the wants and needs of faculty. Ultimately, Unizin wants to help faculty do what they do, better.
