Syllabus Guidance for Spring 2026

Indiana University is implementing CourseLeaf, a curriculum and course management platform, to meet the new state requirement for public syllabus access. For all SIS-generated courses, IU automatically publishes the syllabus through CourseLeaf when the course is set to Published. No additional steps are required; instructors should keep their syllabus up to date in the Canvas Syllabus section. It will not replace Canvas; rather, CourseLeaf will serve as the public portal for prospective and current students to view course syllabi.

Deadline: Post your syllabus at least 7 days before your course begins so students have the information they need from day one. The Syllabi FAQ outlines what to include, what to omit, and when to post.
