About Edward C. Moore and William M. Plater
Edward C. Moore served as IU Indianapolis’s Dean of the Faculties from 1973-1982. He was a prolific author and editor who was highly regarded by his IU Indianapolis colleagues. William M. Plater served IU Indianapolis’s Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs from 1987-2006. He was committed to excellence in teaching and learning. The Plater-Moore Conference on Teaching and Learning seeks to honor the commitment of these outstanding educator-scholars to teaching and learning in Indiana and beyond.
The conference is open to all IU faculty and instructional staff, regardless of appointment type. Professional staff who provide support for the teaching and learning mission (e.g., instructional designers, IT professionals) are also welcome to attend.
