UPDATE: The CEG Initiative is paused and we will not be accepting proposals until further notice. A new course completion initiative will be announced in Fall 2025.
Goals
The Curriculum Enhancement Grant (CEG) provides support for faculty to implement and assess teaching interventions that are designed to promote student success and enhance learning outcomes and experiences at IU Indianapolis, IU Columbus, or IU Fort Wayne. The grant offers time, funds, instructional design and instructional technology guidance. Specifically, the grant aims to:
- improve student learning outcomes and experiences using student-centered evidence-based teaching practices,
- enhance the campus conversation about scholarly teaching which includes evidence-based, reflective, and student-centered teaching practices,
- incentivize the practice of the scholarship of teaching and learning, and
- increase faculty competitiveness for external educational or curricular improvement grants.
The CEG initiative supports IU Indianapolis 2030 Strategic Plan’s Student Success and Opportunity pillar, in close alignment with goal 4 of improving student experience, goal 1 of strengthening student enrollment, goal 2 of increasing retention and graduation rates, and goal 3 of bolstering graduate and professsional education for graduate courses.
