Fostering Emotional and Mental Well-Being in the Classroom and Throughout Our Campus Community
We all come to teaching and learning experiences as whole human beings with emotional and relational lives and with our own share of adversity and challenge. This forum discussion will focus on recognizing and responding to how these aspects of being human tend to show up in teaching and learning interactions, especially within the context of these uncertain and stressful times. We will also collaboratively share practices that help us ground ourselves and aid in creating supportive and even restorative learning environments. We will also spend some time identifying the needs of students who have faced significant adversity, trauma, and inequity.
