One way to teach well and fulfill your role well is to learn about program and department expectations, any standards or competencies that your course needs to meet or help students meet, and what expectations you will need to consider related to what is taught, how how it is taught, and using what tools. Talk with your supervisor, with faculty in your program, and others with more experience. And if you are one with experience, share.
Finally, consider others who can work with you, and in some cases you and your supervisor. The ETTA team and the CTL staff are available to consult with you and work with you through the decision-making process.
