The CTL awarded 11 Curriculum Enhancement Grants to 26 faculty members as principal or co-principal investigators for projects that will impact 2,206 students annually. One of the projects, which focuses on the High-Impact Practice of integrating ePortfolios in the program, will be funded in collaboration with the Institute for Engaged Learning.

The Institute for Learning & Teaching Excellence (ILTE) at IU Southeast is currently accepting proposals for their 6th annual Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Conference. The theme for the proposals focuses on how you will engage participants in an online environment. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Carol Hostetter, Indiana University – Bloomington who is internationally recognized for her work in SoTL. Proposals are due by midnight, May 20, 2022. Transparent assignment designs have been proven to motivate increased student effort and to promote student success. Clarification and elaboration of an assignments’ purpose, task, and grading criteria works to scaffold student learning activities. Doing so helps all students, but especially students from underserved populations and students who are unfamiliar with college success strategies. In this webinar, participants will be introduced to the transparent design framework, analyze sample transparent assignments, and will begin drafting or revising a transparent assignment.
