Using Top Hat, IU's New Student Response System to Engage Students
|
You may have heard that Top Hat has been selected as the student response system at all IU campuses, and will replace Turning Technologies clickers by fall 2017.
Top Hat is an interactive teaching platform designed to make classroom lectures (as well as online assignments) more engaging and effective. Using Top Hat, you can take attendance, conduct polls, ask auto-graded and open-ended questions, and initiate discussions. Results are tabulated instantly as students respond on their mobile devices and can even be transferred to the Canvas Gradebook.
If you’re interested in learning more or using Top Hat in your courses this fall, sign up for a personalized demo. Or attend a webinar hosted by UITS – a full list of dates can be found here.
Top Hat also offers a wealth of teaching resources on topics ranging from how to implement active learning techniques in your lectures to the future of university libraries.
For any questions, please email Indiana@tophat.com.
